Rosco (now Lily)
A message from Rosco's parents:
"When we first decided to become fosters for dogs, we knew it would be a big responsibility, but we never anticipated just how much one particular dog would change our lives. Lily (previously known as Rosco) was a beautiful female dog with a timid demeanor, and she had traveled all the way from Pakistan to find her forever home in Canada.
At first, Lily was scared and didn't trust us. It took a lot of patience and love, but after several weeks, she began to warm up to us. As time went on, she started to come out of her shell and reveal her sweet, loving personality. We quickly fell in love with her.
We fostered Lily for nine months, during which time we got to know her well and she became a beloved member of our family. But the longer she was with us, the more we realized that we didn't want to let her go to anyone else. We knew we had to make her a permanent part of our family.
So, we adopted Lily and changed her name to better suit her feminine personality. We also had another dog, Daisy, who was overjoyed to have a new sister. It took some time for the two of them to adjust to each other, but they quickly became the best of friends. Now, they do everything together and are inseparable.
Lily is still a little timid, but she has come a long way since she first arrived in Canada. She now loves to play with toys, go for walks, and cuddle with us on the couch. She's truly become a beloved member of our family, and we're so grateful to have had the opportunity to foster and adopt her. We encourage others to consider fostering or adopting dogs as well - it's a truly rewarding experience that can change your life in the best possible way.
We're so grateful to Project Save Animals for rescuing Lily and allowing her to find a loving home. It breaks our hearts to think she was once considered unwanted in Pakistan simply because of her breed. We hope that by giving her a happy life here in Canada, we can help to prove those people wrong and show that every dog deserves a chance."
