Handsome Felix's success story, from their lovely adopters!

"My partner Anthony and I got a message from our dear friend Kelly who had foster-to-adopted a dog from Project Save Animals. She let us know that there was a dog named Felix that was set to fly to Canada but needed a foster family. We never really imagined taking in a dog. We thought we were cat people - but we jumped in to help and within a few days, the GREATEST DOG ON THE PLANET was a part of our home.

The process was so easy thanks to the incredible folks at Project Save Animals and their Canadian partners, Fur Warriors. We filled out the foster-to-adopt application and had a few phone calls to learn more about what to expect and to prepare our home for Felix. After a few days, we picked Felix up at the Toronto airport and brought him home.

​

We were nervous at first but within minutes of Felix being at our place, he took to us right away. We continued to give him space, time, and patience and he learned so quickly that he could trust us.

​

We love Felix so much and can't imagine our lives without him. He is a lovable goofball who continues to learn and who continues to teach us every day.

​

This whole process wouldn't have been so wonderful if it weren't for Hassan at Project Save Animals and all of the incredible people who supported his rescue through love, patience, donations, and sheer commitment to him. By the time he came to us, he had already gone through so much care and healing. He had developed his confidence and his spirit was alive!

​

We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who supported Felix along the way. He went from being abused and alone in a dark cage for over a year, to being a healthy, loving, and playful boy who shines in his newfound freedom.

​
